The Aerodrome and Security Section participates in the work of the Group of Aerodrome Safety Regulators (GASR) which is working on a draft prototype of aerodrome regulations for Europe.

Originally, GASR operated separately but was later moved under JAA. As it is planned to disband JAA, a process for the EASA to implement the aerodrome regulation has begun.
